Ice Cream
Is it a tulip? is it an ice cream? Yes, it's both! Tulip Ice Cream as it has a very special look for a tulip. This is what happens when you cross a double white tulip with a double red tulip. In the beginning this tulip looks freshly green and later on the pink/red color appears and when it blooms longer the whipped cream on top is growing more and more. It is one of the most famous tulips in Keukenhof gardens because of its special appearance but it is also a late blooming variety. So a really fancy dessert for your garden in late spring.
Tip: Put them in a sunny spot and water them regularly when they are almost flowering. Ice Cream tulips need a lot of water because they have such large flower heads.
